Job summary

Meta in Sydney seeks a Communications Manager to shape and tell our story in Australia across consumer, business and policy audiences for Reality Labs hardware and AI initiatives.

You will lead local media relations, craft launches, and manage regulatory narratives with Policy and Legal, partnering with global teams to deliver data-driven storytelling that supports advertisers, creators and the Australian economy.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in communications spanning technology, policy, and business.
• Experience leading strategy independently across consumer/product and policy/public-affairs.
• Expertise in social media and creator strategy with owned channels as core tools.
• Outstanding media relations skills with deep relationships across Australian tech, business, consumer and policy media.
• Experience acting as a spokesperson and preparing senior leaders for media engagements.

Responsibilities

• Own the Australian communications strategy for Reality Labs and wearables, leading product storytelling and media experiences.
• Anticipate and manage policy, privacy and safety questions in partnership with Policy and Legal.
• Build credibility for the category with tech, consumer and lifestyle media.
• Lead local comms for Meta AI and AI product moments for Australian audiences.
• Develop data- and research-led business storytelling and executive visibility.
