Job summary

Samsara Eco in NSW/ACT border area is seeking a Communications and Brand Manager for a 12-month part-time fixed term parental leave contract. The role is hybrid, based in Jerrabomberra, about 30 minutes from Canberra CBD, Australia.

You will craft content that brings our mission and technology to life across brand, media and campaigns. This hands-on role requires strong writing, stakeholder management and storytelling skills, with experience in biotech or innovation-led industries preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
• 5-8 years' experience in communications, brand, PR or marketing, ideally within a start‑up or scale‑up environment.
• Experience in biotech, deep-tech or other innovation‑led industries is highly regarded.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into engaging content.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across media, industry, government, partners and senior leadership teams.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Confident using digital marketing, social media, design, video and analytics tools.
• A proactive, collaborative and hands‑on communicator who can influence across teams and drive initiatives from concept through to delivery.
• Passionate about sustainability, innovation and contributing to a purpose‑driven culture.

ROLE PURPOSE

Are you a Communications and Brand Manager who loves turning ideas into stories and stories into impact? At Samsara Eco, you’ll craft content and communications that bring our mission, technology and people to life; from brand and media to campaigns, stakeholder updates and internal storytelling. This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants to keep building their craft in a fast‑moving start‑up/scale‑up environment, working close to the action and helping shape how Samsara shows up as we grow.
