Job summary

Westpac in Sydney seeks a Commercial Product Manager Lead to govern and coordinate the Commodities Derivatives Release Train, aligning multiple products, squads and stakeholders to a single view of priorities, risks and readiness.

You will drive governance, push for automation and AI-enabled processes while maintaining robust risk controls. The role offers flexible working arrangements in a permanent Sydney-based position.

Qualifications

• Experience in product management, governance, risk, controls or change leadership.
• Experience in Financial Markets or regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and balance growth with governance.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial governance and coordination of the Commodities Derivatives Release Train.
• Consolidate information from multiple products, delivery squads and stakeholders to create a clear, integrated view of priorities, risks and release readiness.
• Identify gaps, manage dependencies, coordinate governance obligations and navigate complex approval pathways.
• Lead initiatives to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and introduce more digital, rules-based and AI-enabled ways of working.
