Job summary

Forefront Recruitment Pty is seeking a Senior Commissioning Lead to take ownership of commissioning on a major data centre project in Melbourne's western suburbs. You will manage planning, testing, and handover to ensure systems are delivered and perform to spec.

With up to five direct reports, this is a leadership role focused on setting direction, aligning the team, and coordinating subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders to achieve the same outcome.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with direct reports (up to five)
• Background as builder/trade or engineer in similar role
• Ability to see big picture, sequencing and integration of services across a project

There are up to five direct reports, so this is a leadership role, not coordination. You'll set direction, align the team and keep subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders moving toward the same outcome.

The business is active across technically complex projects, with a strong pipeline in the data centre space. This role is part of a broader plan to build out the commissioning function, giving you the opportunity to take ownership and grow a team around you.

To be considered, you'll need a builder/trade or engineering background in a similar role. What also really matters is that you can see the bigger picture. How services integrate, how sequencing impacts delivery and how to drive outcomes across a project.

The salary is up to $270k + super, depending on your experience.
