The Star Sydney is seeking a Commis Chef to join our vibrant kitchen, reporting to the Sous Chef and delivering flawless product execution in a safety-conscious environment.

You will support the assigned station, assist with cooking tasks, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene. This hands-on role offers training for junior staff and opportunities to grow within our renowned fine dining and steak concepts.

The Commis Chef reports directly to the Sous Chef and offers an energetic and exciting hands-on approach to flawless product execution in an environment focused on safety and culinary excellence.

What we are looking for:

• Experience within fine dining establishments and steak cuisine. Woodfire cooking highly desirable
• Proficiency with diverse food preparation techniques and cooking equipment.
• Experience in signature dinning settings, with strong communication skills and understanding of relevant liquor laws.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
