Minor Hotels is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort on a casual basis. You will assist with dish prep and presentation across all kitchen sections, working with the team to ensure smooth service and high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Cookery, understand HACCP and OH&S requirements, and can thrive under pressure with weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Cookery and prior experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
• Understanding of HACCP and Workplace Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to coach and motivate less experienced kitchen team members.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, assisting with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.
• Support less experienced team members when required.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Split shifts may be required on some days

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $29.45 per hour
Saturday: $36.81 per hour
Sunday: $44.18 per hour
