Job summary

The Commercialisation Office within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Sydney is seeking a Commercialisation Associate. You will identify IP suitable for commercial development and help translate research in Life Sciences, Medtech and Biotech sectors.

Based in Australia, this full‑time, continuing position offers a base salary of 117,133–127,610 AUD plus 17% superannuation and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in medicine, health or life sciences, biotechnology commercial experience in medtech/pharma/biotech, or university tech transfer is highly desirable.
• Ability to foster entrepreneurial culture and partnerships between research, industry and government.
• Excellent oral and written communication and the ability to manage competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Identify IP suitable for commercial development and translation.
• Develop and execute commercialisation pathways with researchers, industry and investors.
• Support due diligence, market analysis and preparation of marketing materials.
• Maintain project files and databases in line with policy and procedures.
