This role oversees P&L, balance sheet performance, working capital management and capital expenditure planning, with a focus on governance, reporting improvements and robust financial controls.

Qualifications

The Role

The Commercial Manager plays a critical role in shaping and influencing the performance and strategic direction of a core business segment. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor, you will provide insight, challenge and decision support to senior operational leaders, helping translate financial analysis into practical, value-adding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior operational leaders to support commercial and strategic decision-making.


• Lead business case development, investment analysis and commercial evaluations.


• Provide clear insight into profitability, pricing, customer and product performance.


• Oversee P&L and balance sheet performance, identifying risks and opportunities.


• Support working capital management and capital expenditure planning.

About You

• CA/CPA qualified.


• Strong background in commercial finance, business partnering or operational finance.


• Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations.


• High level of commercial acumen with strong analytical and financial modelling skills.


• Comfortable providing constructive challenge while maintaining trusted relationships.


• Confident working in fast-paced, change-oriented environments.


• Leadership experience with a focus on capability uplift and team development.

Additional Requirements

• There is a business requirement to be onsite full time during the initial months to build strong stakeholder relationships.


• Monthly interstate travel will be required.
