Job summary

Law Staff in Brisbane seeks a mid level lawyer to join its commercial litigation team. You will handle complex disputes with excellent support from a collaborative team and an award-winning partner.

The role offers exposure to high-profile disputes across Queensland, with a mix of on-site and flexible work arrangements. 4–9 years PAE and a solid basis in disputes are expected.

Qualifications

• 4–9 years of post-qualification experience in disputes.
• Strong understanding of the Corporations Act and UCPR.
• Experience at a large specialist, mid-tier or national firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-end and complex disputes with strong support from a collaborative team.
• Manage matters across a range of dispute types including IP, construction, insurance and regulatory matters.
• Work directly with a Partner recognised as a leading practitioner.

This role offers the chance to work on high-profile disputes across Queensland. You’ll handle a diverse range of matters, including:

• High-end contract disputes
• IP litigation
• Construction disputes
• Insurance litigation and indemnity claims
• Regulatory matters
• Commercial property disputes

It’s a dynamic and varied practice with exposure to complex, large-scale legal challenges. You'll be working directly with a Partner recognised as a leading practitioner across Legal 500, Doyles Guide, and Best Lawyers Australia.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 4 to 9 years of PAE with a strong foundation in disputes.
• You should have a good understanding of the Corporations Act, UCPR, alternative dispute litigation.
• Experience working at a large specialist, mid-tier or national firm.
