Job summary

The Property Council of Australia is seeking a finance professional to provide high-quality management reports and partner with commercial teams. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, and improving finance systems while supporting leadership with accurate analysis.

Qualifications

• Active questioning and listening skills.
• 3–4 years' experience in a commercial or NFP environment.
• Exposure to management reporting functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in resolution of issues arising from balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent reporting and financial modelling tools knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics GP, Excel; Solver would be an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Commercial partnering - drive optimal performance and spend effectively by proactively assisting commercial partners.
• Training commercial partners on financial matters, systems and policies.
• Financial reporting - on time and accurate management accounting and analysis.
• Budgets and forecasts - assist the Executive Directors to update their rolling forecasts and prepare budgets.
• Optimisation of finance systems - contribute to finance system implementation.
