Some electricians install what is shown on a drawing.
Others can walk into a complex commercial facility, understand how its systems operate, diagnose a fault others have missed and take ownership of the solution.
Cronan Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Service & Maintenance Electrician who wants more than another electrical job.
This is a specialised technical position for an electrician whose capabilities extend beyond general installation work. You will service, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and critical building systems across complex commercial and industrial facilities.
Strong fault-finding ability, compliance knowledge, professional judgement and client service are essential.
This combination of skills is uncommon—and we are prepared to recognise and reward the right person.
You are probably looking for a workplace where:
That is exactly what we are building at Cronan Electrical Services.
We want someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to build a long-term career with a company growing for the right reasons.
Whether your goal is to become a senior technical specialist, mentor apprentices, lead a service team or progress into management, we want to help you get there.
One day, you may be fault-finding at Disney Studios Australia.
The next, you could be inspecting a switchboard, replacing a main switch, commissioning a power meter or investigating a power-quality problem.
You may be testing a lightning-protection system, completing thermal imaging, maintaining emergency lighting, installing EV-charging infrastructure or helping an apprentice develop their technical skills.
If you enjoy variety, responsibility and solving problems that require genuine electrical knowledge, you will enjoy this role.
Working across Sydney’s commercial and industrial sectors, you will be responsible for:
This position is focused on commercial service and maintenance, with smaller installations, upgrade works ajnd commercial projects forming part of the role.
You are not expected to arrive as an expert in every specialist system. However, you must bring solid commercial experience, genuine diagnostic ability and the drive to develop into a recognised technical specialist.
We are trusted by leading organisations and facilities, including:
These are not simply one-off jobs. They are long-term relationships built through trust, professionalism, technical capability and consistently high-quality work.
This role is an opportunity to build specialist commercial capabilities that are not commonly developed in standard electrical positions.
Depending on your existing experience, you will receive practical exposure, guidance and ongoing training across:
You will not be limited to repetitive service calls. You will be supported to understand how complex systems work, develop stronger diagnostic skills and become the electrician clients trust with their most difficult problems.
The goal is to help you build a specialist skill set that increases your value, strengthens your career and creates a pathway into senior technical or leadership positions.
You are the electrician people call when the obvious solution has not worked.
You think logically, test before assuming and take pride in identifying the actual cause of a problem—not simply treating the symptom.
You will:
You must have:
Experience with switchboard upgrades, power meters, CTs, emergency lighting, thermal imaging, data, fibre, solar or security systems will be highly regarded.
Our electricians are trusted and respected.
They are given the equipment and support required to complete their work properly. They are encouraged to learn, challenged with interesting work and surrounded by people who genuinely look out for one another.
Most importantly, they know they are helping to build a company they can be proud to be part of.
This position suits an electrician who has outgrown repetitive installation work and wants their technical ability to be properly used.
You may already be an experienced commercial service electrician, or you may be a strong commercial electrician ready to develop deeper expertise across maintenance, testing, compliance, diagnostics and critical building systems.
Either way, you will not be treated as just another number.
You will be trusted with important clients, supported to expand your technical capability and given the opportunity to become a key part of the future of Cronan Electrical Services.
“Cronan Electrical Services was built on a simple idea: look after your people, deliver quality work and build long-term relationships.

We are looking for people who care about their trade, enjoy being part of a capable team and want to build something they are genuinely proud of.
If you are looking for a company that will invest in you as much as you invest in your work, I would like to hear from you.”
