West Recruitment is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join as a Commercial Analyst or Management Accountant. You will lead month-end reporting, financial analysis, and governance while delivering key commercial projects and partnering with stakeholders to drive insights.

Based in Australia, enjoy a flexible hybrid setup with four work-from-home days per week, a supportive manager, and clear career progression toward senior commercial roles in a growing organization.

Formación

• CA/CPA qualification is highly regarded but not essential
• Experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or Commercial Analyst role
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with month-end reporting, financial analysis and variance analysis
• Ability to interpret financial information, investigate discrepancies and communicate insights
• Excellent attention to detail with accountability and accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Curious, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and own responsibilities

Responsabilidades

• Analyse financial and operational data, investigate variances and identify key performance drivers
• Support commercial modelling, pricing calculations and analytical projects
• Maintain accurate commercial data, reporting frameworks and governance registers
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy across reporting and invoicing processes
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and support commercial outcomes
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, internal controls and operational efficiencies
• Support ongoing commercial projects and business expansion initiatives

About Your New Role!

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Commercial Analyst or Management Accountant looking to further develop their commercial skills within a growing organisation. The position offers a broad mix of financial analysis, month-end reporting, commercial projects and governance responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:

About You!

We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ideally, you will demonstrate:

• CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion will be highly regarded but not essential
• Experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst or Commercial Analyst position
• Strong Excel skills - confident with pivot tables, sum ifs, V-looks ups etc
• Experience with month-end reporting, financial analysis and variance analysis
• Ability to interpret financial information, investigate discrepancies and communicate meaningful insights
• Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and accountability
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A curious, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
