Qualifications

• Qualified CA/CPA (or near completion) with strong accounting knowledge.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, supply chain or logistics finance.
• Proven ability to partner with operational stakeholders and drive decisions.
• Excellent communication, analytical and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report Supply Chain performance across 6 distribution centres weekly and monthly.
• Lead forecast updates with timely, accurate risks & opportunities.
• Assist with budgets, site standards and financial targets.
• Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities through deep analysis.
• Challenge existing processes to improve accuracy and rigour.
• Partner with DC managers to translate finance insights into actions.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations (≈4 accounts).
• Provide ad hoc financial support to Supply Chain projects.

Your opportunity to join our Commercial Finance team at Macquarie Park!

In this role you will own the analysis and reporting of Supply Chain operating performance across 6 distribution centres, business partnering with Transport and DC managers to drive insights, forecast accuracy and continuous improvement for the Commercial Team in ANZ.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform the weekly and monthly analysis and reporting of Supply Chain operating performance across all 6 distribution centres. Scope includes Warehousing, Freight and Weigh Label Rooms
• Drive the completion of forecast updates – ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear articulation of risks and opportunities
• Work with the Commercial Manager to prepare and refine budgets, site standards and financial targets
• Dig deeper into performance drivers to surface actionable insights and identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities
• Challenge the status quo – constructively question existing processes, assumptions and reporting to improve rigour and add value
• Business partner with DC managers to translate financial analysis into operational decisions and action
• Completion of monthly balance sheet recs (about 4 accounts)
• Provide ad hoc reporting and financial support to Supply Chain projects, site benchmarking and performance comparisons

Key requirements:

• Professional qualification (CA or CPA) preferred - or working towards
• At least 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing, supply chain or logistics environment
• Proven business partnering skills with operational stakeholders
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex business environment
• Proficient in using multiple management information systems and advanced Excel skills
• Self-starter who takes ownership and drives outcomes with minimal direction
• Naturally curious – digs deeper to find the root cause, not just the surface answer
• Confident to challenge the status quo and question established processes and assumptions
• Self-assured verbal and written communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Analytical, critical thinker with high attention to detail and sound business judgement
• Able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
