Job summary

eHealth NSW is seeking a Commercial Analyst to deliver commercial insights that support smarter decisions across NSW Health. The role offers hybrid flexibility with Chatswood or St Leonards and a salary between $137,525 and $156,231 plus 12% super and 17.5% annual leave loading.

The Commercial Analyst will develop financial concepts for long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting, and partner with leaders to provide expert financial guidance to influence business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Require tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or commerce with recognised professional body membership.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, budgeting and scenario analysis.
• Experience with ERP and BI systems and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply financial concepts for long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide expert financial advice and coaching on budget planning and capital investments.
• Prepare regulatory reporting, disclosures and accurate financial statements.

As a Commercial Analyst in our Finance Team at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through developing and applying financial concepts for long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support business outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to deliver actionable insights, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning—turning numbers into meaningful results.

In this role, you will:

• Fulfil regulatory reporting compliance requirements for primary and supplementary financial statements and disclosures.


• Translate complex financial data into meaningful analysis and reports to support informed decision-making.


• Partner with business leaders, providing expert financial advice and coaching on budget planning, capital investments, cost modelling, and financial performance.

About You

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related field, with full or ongoing membership with a recognised Australian professional accounting body—or you bring extensive equivalent experience.


• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, with experience in financial consultation, reporting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and managing budget processes within a division or business area.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in data modelling and analysis, and hands-on experience with ERP and BI systems.
