Job summary

Internationalinsuranceprofessionals is seeking a Commercial Accountant in Sydney to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, commercial decision-making and performance analysis across Australia.

You will prepare monthly P&L, provide variance analysis, and support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement in reporting and finance processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
• CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress).
• Experience in commercial accounting, management accounting or financial analysis preferred.
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting and analytical skills; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly P&L reports and management accounts.
• Deliver accurate month-end reporting and variance analysis.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial insights and recommendations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support invoicing processes, contract and commercial compliance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and finance processes.
