KBR, Inc. is seeking a Combat Systems Engineer to support Combat Management and Communications Systems across Navy assets.

You will work with experienced engineers to provide trusted technical advice to Commonwealth representatives and stakeholders, contributing to sustainment and performance of critical maritime capabilities. You will apply your expertise in Combat Management, sensors, and communications systems, including RF and shipborne information technology, collaborating with internal and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in a recognised engineering discipline.
• Experience with requirements development, design review and acceptance within a regulated technical framework (e.g., Department of Defence).
• Membership of a professional body and Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years related experience.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Combat Management and Communications Systems engineering expertise.
• Identify technical risks to integration, compatibility and cybersecurity.
• Perform tasks and reviews as directed by the CLCM Senior Combat Systems Engineer and ACSSPO Principal Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with engineering plans and processes; develop tasking statements.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team on design tasks, configuration management and safety/certification.
