Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Melbourne. You will assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will work with a team to meet KPIs and serve as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, performing metalwork, welding, painting, and ensuring all work meets standards. A safety-conscious, collaborative mindset is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers for repair work.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed to repair dents.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair/replace glass.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
