Job summary

Western Port Secondary College is seeking an Education Support Class role for 3 days per week, 8:30am - 3:05pm, to assist teachers, support students and contribute to a safe learning environment. The position involves coordinating with staff to implement SWPBS and student care tasks under supervision.

The role supports students with routine tasks, behaviour management, and collaboration with families and the school team. Flexibility with time fraction may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students and lifting.
• Addresses immediate behavioural presentations within a classroom setting aligned to school policy.
