Job summary

Labourforce currently advertises an All round Storeperson / Forklift Operator role in Prestons, NSW. Morning or afternoon shifts are available, with immediate start. The position requires a LF Forklift Licence, Crown High Reach, and Double Deep experience, and operates in a -28°C freezer environment.

Day and afternoon shifts run Mon-Fri, with 8-hour shifts starting at 5:00 AM or 1:00 PM. The pay rate is AUD 44.47 per hour plus allowances, and pre-employment checks including a Drug and Alcohol

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LF Forklift Licence.
• Experience on Crown High Reach forklifts is a MUST!!!
• Double Deep experience is a MUST.
• Previous experience with 7-9 bays high is required.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role/industry.
• Experience in freezer/cold room environment is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Own reliable transport.
• Shift hours may vary; reliability and punctuality essential.
• RF scanning experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (High Reach) in a -28°C freezer environment.
• Assist with day-to-day warehousing duties: pick/pack, putaways, replenishment, loading/unloading trucks.
• Use electric pallet jacks where required and operate pallet wrapping machines.
• Manage stock rotation and replenishment; ensure accurate picking/packing.

Job description

Our client, a Leader in the Cold Storage and Distribution industry currently have vacant positions available for All round Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join their team:

DAY & AFTERNOON SHIFT Available located in Prestons.

Transport & Logistics sector, therefore previous experience within a fast-paced working environment is essential.

Although you will be operating a Forklift this will also be a hands-on role assisting with the day-to-day operations which will include picking / packing, putaways, replenishment, loading and unloading trucks and assisting within the warehouse.

Morning shifts start times are 5AM (8-hour shifts) Monday to Friday.

Afternoon shifts start times are 1PM (8-hour shifts) Monday to Friday.

IMMEDIATE START for the right applicants.

Pay Rate is $44.47 per hour + allowances.

The role involves; but will not be limited to:

• Operation of Forklifts- High Reach
• Working in a -28 degrees freezer environment
• Operation of Electric Pallet Jacks (where required)
• High reach double deep experience is MUST (Minimum 12 months)
• Stock rotation and replenishment
• Picking and packing orders
• Usage of pallet wrapping machines
• Loading and Unloading Trucks
• General warehousing duties
• Ad hoc duties as required

To be considered for this role, you MUST :

• Hold a current LF Forklift Licence
• Previous experience on CROWN High Reach forklifts a MUST !!!
• Double Deep Experience is a MUST
• Previous experience with 7- 9 bays high
• Have minimum 2 years' experience within a similar industry or role
• Previous experience with High Reach Forklifts and double deep putaways a MUST
• Experience within a freezer / cold room environment highly desirable
• Great communication skills both written and verbally
• Be Physically fit as some roles will involve heavy lifting
• Have your OWN reliable transport
• Be flexible with work hours shift times may vary
• Be reliable and punctual
• RF Scanning (preferred but not essential)
