Job summary

The Bionics Institute in Melbourne is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support delivery of clinical trials within the Cognitive Therapeutics Research Program. You will assist participant recruitment, assessments and data collection, working under the Head of Cognitive Therapeutics.

This role offers hybrid work, collaboration with clinicians and researchers, and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge brain stimulation therapies for neurodegenerative conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research, healthcare, psychology, neuroscience or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality data collection and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants, carers and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, screening, assessment and monitoring activities.
• Coordinate study visits, participant appointments and research assessments.
• Collect, enter and maintain accurate research and clinical trial data.
• Maintain study documentation in accordance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Provide study information and support to participants and their carers.
• Support follow-up activities, including adverse events and withdrawal processes when required.
• Assist with ethics submissions, progress reports, safety reporting and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with investigators, clinicians, participants and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ensure all activities comply with GCP and study protocols.
