Job summary

Ballina Shire Council is seeking an appropriately qualified Planner for a temporary parental relief position in the Development Services team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality development assessment and compliance services, while mentoring under experienced professionals.

You will support the team to achieve positive development outcomes and maintain a customer-focused culture across the Shire, with opportunities to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values.
• Experience in development assessment and statutory planning.
• Knowledge of Environmental Planning & Assessment Act.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to deliver quality customer service.
• Strong written and oral communication for technical reports and submissions.
