Job summary
WorkPac Group is seeking Trade Assistants for shutdown maintenance roles within the mining sector in Queensland. You will support Boilermakers, Riggers and Mechanical Fitters on fixed plant during shutdowns. These opportunities offer ongoing shutdown work across multiple mine sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.
Negotiable salary based on experience and qualifications. Applicants must have Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, Gas Monitor Training, Confined Spaces
Qualifications
- Previous Trade Assistant experience in a coal mining environment.
- Experience around fixed plant on a coal mine site.
- Valid and current Standard 11 and associated safety trainings.
Responsibilities
- Assist Boilermakers, Riggers and Mechanical Fitters with shutdown maintenance activities.
- Support planned and breakdown maintenance across fixed plant assets.
- Assist with equipment preparation, dismantling, repairs and general maintenance activities.
- Support rigging, lifting and material handling as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area; work as part of a coal mining team.
