Job summary

SANFL is seeking casual Coach Developers to deliver coach education and development across multiple zones in South Australia. You will work with junior and youth coaches, including groups and individuals, during peak seasons and evenings.

The role supports coach development through formal PD and collaboration with other Coach Developers, in a setting that values player experiences and retention. Availability for evenings is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Elevate/ Level 2 Coaching Accreditation.
• Driver’s License.
• DHS Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver club-based coach education and development packages to junior and youth coaches within your allocated zone.
• Mix of whole group junior coaching sessions and one-on-one coaching with individuals.
• Regular coach development activities and collaboration with other Coach Developers to support growth.

What You Will Love About The Job

Community Clubs and Coaches

Within your allocated zone, deliver club-based coach education and development packages to junior and youth coaches. A mix of whole junior coaching group and one-on-one with coaches.

This role aims to positively impact coaching capability and retention, player experiences and retention, coach behaviour, and game day environments.

Your passion and current skill set to develop coaches will be supported through regular coach development professional development and collaborating with other Coach Developers.

Time Commitment

Engagement in the position to commence from November 2026 with an induction. Peak periods for 2027 season are February to July, approx. 4hrs per week.

Essential Criteria

• Available for regular evenings during the football season. All elements of the role will be delivered out of normal business hours
• Experience coaching and/or teaching across a range of age groups
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to achieve outcomes in an autonomous work environment
• Highly developed empathy towards junior and youth community coaches
