Job summary

W3Global is seeking a highly motivated CNC Programmer / Workshop Support to join our Brisbane production team. You will programme tube bending machines, read drawings, manage tooling and support workflow from planning to delivery.

You will collaborate with production, sales and quality teams to ensure accuracy, safety and on-time outcomes, while maintaining a hands-on approach and a focus on continuous improvement. This full-time role requires a practical, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CNC programming, CNC machinery or a mechanical production environment.
• Engineering, trade or strong mechanical background.
• Experience with tube bending, mandrel bending or fabrication would be highly regarded.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Knowledge of hydraulic fittings, tube assemblies or metal components would be an advantage.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on workshop capability.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
• Forklift licence preferred, but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems and databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisation, time management and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Programme CNC bending machines to perform tube bending tasks.
• Operate CNC bending and associated equipment efficiently, maintaining high accuracy, productivity, and compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Translate job requirements into machine commands and bending instructions.
• Work closely with the sales and production teams to prioritise programming workload.
• Quality check work orders and confirm job requirements before release to production.
• Support workshop staff with technical questions relating to drawings, bending requirements and job setup.
• Assist with tooling selection, tooling requests and supplier follow-up for CNC benders.
• Support setup, adjustment and troubleshooting of CNC bending machinery where required.
• Assist with measuring, checking and confirming components using appropriate workshop tools and equipment.
• Enter and maintain data in Access, Plan and other work order systems.
• Support safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Assist with process improvement across programming, tooling, workshop flow and internal procedures.
• Work collaboratively with sales, production, quality and management to improve job accuracy and on-time delivery.

We are currently seeking a highly motivatedCNC Programmer / Workshop Supportteam member to join our growing production team. This role would suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude, CNC programming experience, workshop knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach.

You will be involved in programming CNC tube bending machinery, reading and interpreting technical drawings, supporting tooling requirements, assisting with work order processes and working closely with production, sales and workshop staff to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

This position would suit someone who enjoys both the technical side of CNC programming and the practical side of supporting a busy workshop environment. You will be joining a hands-on, collaborative team where initiative, accuracy and a willingness to learn are valued.

This is a full-time position of38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
