Job summary

Shearform in Dandenong South VIC is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our steel processing team. You will program CAD/CAM tools, prepare job packs, estimate materials and labour, and support major accounts with customer service.

You should have advanced knowledge of steel processing, CAD file formats, and experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks; knowledge of M1 manufacturing is advantageous; Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CAD/CAM software for steel fabrication.
• Experience with preparing job packs and floor release.
• Ability to estimate steel processing jobs including materials and labour.
• Strong customer service and account support.
• Knowledge of CAD file formats and metal processing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Program CAD, nesting, and estimation.
• Prepare job packs for floor processing.
• Estimate materials and labour for enquiries.
• Support major accounts with customer service.
• Generate leads and manage quotations with KPI targets.
• Negotiate quotations including freight and margins.

Join one of Australia's leading Steel Processing Businesses. Proudly Australian owned and operated, Shearform provides high end steel processing services and solutions to our customers such as Laser & Plasma Cutting, Brake Press Folding, Plate Rolling and Section Rolling.

About the role:

We are looking to boost our sales and programming department with enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Technical Estimators & Sales Persons to join our team based in Dandenong South VIC.

You will be responsible for:

• Knowledge & experience using AutoCAD, Solidworks or SigmaNEST or similar CAD software.
• Preparing Job packs to release to the floor for processing.
• Sales estimation of steel processing enquiries which includes materials and labour.
• Support major accounts and provide customer service
• Programming CAD, nesting, estimating, take offs.
• Understand industry applications and the metal industries
• Negotiating quotations including KPI's such as freight, margins etc
• Maintaining the quality aspect of sales estimation, offers and order execution
• Generating leads with new and existing customers

About the candidate:
