Job summary

Seascape Kitchens and Joinery in Coolum Beach is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our factory crew. You’ll run CNC and edge banding equipment, read drawings and cut lists, nest sheets for maximum yield, and check each part before it moves to assembly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating large CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years assembling joinery from CNC-produced components.
• Confidence with CNC software, nesting programs and digital manufacturing tools.
• Sharp eye for detail and pride in doing things right.
• Good communication and the confidence to speak up.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and edge banding equipment to spec.
• Read drawings, cut lists and CNC programs.
• Daily pre-start checks and monitor machine performance.
• Smart nesting to reduce waste and maximise sheet use.
• QC every component before release to assembly.
• Troubleshoot machine faults and address minor issues on the spot.
• Perform machinery maintenance, tool changes and calibration checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
