Job summary
AIM Recruitment Solutions – Airport West VIC is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to manufacture precise tooling components and fixtures. The role covers CAM programming, setting up and operating CNC milling machines, and contributing to tooling manufacture.
The position offers a permanent day shift in Sunshine with relocation to Airport West, and a collaborative environment across Engineering, R&D and Production teams. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience programming CNC machines and milling on CAM systems.
- Strong CAM programming capability.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
- Toolmaking or precision manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with tooling, jigs and fixtures.
- Confidence reading technical drawings and performing inspections.
- Experience with EDM wire-cutting is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Write CNC programs using CAM.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
- Prepare tooling and workpieces for machining.
- Inspect in-process parts and perform final inspections.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain safe, organized working environment.
- Provide skilled support to Engineering, R&D and Production teams.
