Job summary

BerleyPro is seeking a motivated machinist with CNC programming expertise to join our team in Melbourne. You will collaborate with designers on new product development and production processes, producing high-quality vacuum forming tooling and injection moulding tools using state-of-the-art 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.

You will set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines, create CAM programs, inspect parts for quality, and troubleshoot issues while maintaining a strong safety

Qualifications

• Strong desire to develop skills and career.
• Recognised tertiary qualification in Fitter and Turner, Machinist, or Engineering.
• Experience with G-code and M-code.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
• Create, implement, and optimise CNC programs.
• Build and assemble fixtures, jigs, and tooling for injection moulding and vacuum forming.
• Develop and produce vacuum forming tooling.
• Inspect finished parts to meet quality standards and adjust as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues to minimise downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices.

The successful candidate will collaborate with designers on new product development and production processes, producing high-quality vacuum forming tooling and injection moulding tools using state-of-the-art 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC Milling Machines to produce precision metal and plastic parts.
• Create, implement, and optimise CNC programs.
• Build and assemble fixtures, jigs, and injection moulding tooling.
• Develop and produce vacuum forming tooling.
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet stringent quality standards, making necessary adjustments as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues to minimise production downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
