PSG Dover’s Ebsray division seeks a CNC Machinist to program, troubleshoot and operate CNC turning and milling machines. You will work on vertical, horizontal lathes and be part of a busy Machining team focused on process improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC machining, strong measurement skills, and team collaboration. Onsite parking, PPE provided, and potential for overtime are offered in a long‑standing manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC Machining on Lathes, Vertical and Horizontal Machine Centres.
• Experience inspecting components to specifications and tolerances using measurement methods.
• Problem solving for continuous improvement using Lean principles and tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, CNC turning and milling machines. This role will require running of CNC Vertical, Horizontal and Lathes. You will be part of our Machining team with the drive for continuous improvement of our Production processes. Reporting to the Machining Team Leader, you will contribute to a diverse, fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings
• Read and understand machining programs and operational drawings/documentation
• Set machines and tooling via manufacturing pack
• Deburr machined components, remove sharp edges and unwanted burrs, and ensure parts are properly finished and safe to handle
• Ensure all machined components are properly deburred, meet the required quality standards and are ready to be transferred to the next stage of production
• Operate CNC machines to produce high quality, high tolerance products
• Be a team contributor with driving continuous improvement with our production processes

About you

• High regard for Safety in the workplace
• Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC Machining on Lathes, Vertical and Horizontal Machine Centres
• Experience with visually and physically inspecting components to correct specifications and tolerances using different methods of measurement and completing full dimensional checks
• Problem solving for continuous improvement using Lean principles and tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work within a Team environment to ensure optimal value is delivered to the customer
• CAD/CAM or programming experience would be beneficial
• Experience with setting and machining castings forgings is desirable
• 17.5% leave loading
