Job summary

BlueCare is expanding its palliative care services in Queensland and invites applications for an experienced Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse. The role is based in Atherton/Mareeba with travel to regional sites, offering growth within a supported clinical structure and innovative service models to deliver high-quality end-of-life care.

You will develop and monitor care plans, perform resident assessments, assist in staff orientation and professional development, and help ensure accreditation

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate in the employing State.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Post graduate qualification in Palliative or related discipline or pursuing.
• Experience in palliative care, pain management, or acute care is valued.

Primarily based in Atherton/Mareeba, you will be well supported by the palliative care and the wider BlueCare community service teams, so support is always there! Together, we will make a substantial, meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. As our Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Development, implementation, monitoring and review of care plans
• Comprehensive and accurate assessment of residents
• Assisting with the orientation of new staff and ongoing professional development
• Support in ensuring the service meets all accreditation standards

What makes a difference for us

• Current Registered Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate in the employing State.
• Flexibility to undertake diverse travel assignments of varying durations.
• Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Post graduate qualification in Palliative or related discipline or the pursuit in obtaining post grad qualifications.
• Exhibit mid to senior level proficiency in general nursing, showcasing clinical expertise and a person-centered care approach.
• Prior experience in palliative care, pain management, or acute care is highly valued.
• Demonstrated aptitude in effective communication and collaboration with clients and stakeholders to address care requirements.
• Possess a current driver's license and the confidence to navigate rural and remote areas of Queensland
