Job summary

Our client, a major national cultural institution in Canberra, seeks an IT Applications Administrator to protect and optimise essential business systems, including its Collection Management System and Digital Asset Management System. The 12-month contract offers the chance to shape how the collection is managed and shared.

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering enterprise business applications, including configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, user support and integration with corporate systems.
• Experience supporting application integrations using APIs, middleware, ETL processes and scripting such as PowerShell, with databases like SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience in Australian Government or highly regulated environments with incident, problem, change and release management, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to document complex technical and non-technical information.
• Experience with museum, cultural institution or archival systems (CMS/DAMS) is highly regarded.
• Negative Vetting 1 security clearance; Australian citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve a portfolio of business applications including CMS, DAMS and SaaS platforms.
• Act as technical custodian for designated applications: vendor engagement, configuration, release management and lifecycle planning.
• Manage integrations and data flows between apps, databases, cloud services and enterprise platforms.
• Coordinate upgrades for applications, databases and supporting infrastructure per ISM, PSPF and vendor best practice.
• Document applications and support procedures; develop ITSM processes for changes, incidents and problems.
