Job summary

Springwood Sports Club is seeking a dynamic leader to manage daily club operations and develop teams across shifts. You will drive customer experiences, coordinate onboarding, and coach new staff while upholding RSA/RCG standards and policy compliance.

We value leadership potential, reliable ownership, and a proactive approach to problem solving within a community-focused hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ months experience in leading and managing diverse teams in hospitality.
• Strong initiative and ability to make decisions independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with team and customers.
• RSA/RCG/ARCG certificates current (required) or in progress.
• First Aid certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of Club Operations including opening/closing and cash handling.
• Educate customers about events, products, and memberships.
• Train, onboard, and coach new starters.
• Monitor service levels and respond to issues while maintaining quality.
• Support and drive the club's Vision, Mission and Values.

Consistently and proactively provide customers with a high level of customer service.

Comply with the Club’s policies and procedures (e.g. RSA/RCG, safe food handling).

Implement and champion change as part of a progressive and evolving organisation

Support and coordinate training, onboarding, and coaching of new starters to the organisation

Day-to-day management of Club Operations – including opening and closing, cash handling, legislative compliance, and grievance handling

Monitor and respond to service levels - received goods, response times, service quality, – and assist where appropriate.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

At least 12 months experience in leading and managing diverse teams with varying levels of experience within the hospitality industry

Confidence to work autonomously, strong initiative and ability to make decisions independently

Ability to think on your feet to resolve issues and to manage tricky situations while remaining calm

Eagerness to get involved and learn a variety of skills across multiple areas – skills that will benefit you throughout your leadership career

Exceptional verbal and written communication with team and customers, including formal documentation and ability to have the ‘difficult’ conversations

Strong digital experience including Office and proficiency in industry specific software

Exhibit a caring approach with a high degree of discretion, integrity and confidentiality, and high standard of personal presentation

Flexibility to work rotating rosters across all opening hours of the club including, overnight, weekends and public holidays

Current RSA, RCG and ARCG certificates (required)

Current First Aid certificate (preferred)
