Job summary

Viva Leisure is seeking a Lead Instructor to join Club Pilates in Australia, driving instructional excellence across a national studio network. You will model teaching, mentor peers, and set the standard for the Club Pilates method while supporting member experiences and instructor growth.

This senior role requires comprehensive Pilates certification, CPR/First Aid, Bridge Training completion (or willingness), and the ability to work flexible hours across weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive Pilates Certification or equivalent (Required).
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (Required).
• Completion of Club Pilates Bridge Training, or willing to complete upon commencement (Required).
• Experience teaching multiple Club Pilates formats.
• Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality Club Pilates classes, modelling best-practice cueing, sequencing and class flow.
• Promote safe, inclusive, multi-level instruction aligned with Club Pilates methodology and safety standards.
• Empower teachers to create a positive and motivating class environment that supports member confidence, satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure teachers are confident and equipped to guide members with technique and appropriate modifications within scope of practice.
• Consistently represent Club Pilates brand values and instructional expectations during all classes taught.
• Observe classes and provide constructive, developmental feedback to support teaching growth and consistency.
• Support teacher onboarding activities including auditions, practice teaching, and class shadowing.
• Aid newly onboarded teachers completing Bridge Training by providing guidance and support with final video submissions.
• Identify training needs and relay observations to the Studio Manager for follow-up.
• Encourage a collaborative, professional teaching culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Promote consistent delivery of all Club Pilates class formats — intensity, transitions, and safety standards.
• Support quality assurance by identifying instructional trends or gaps and escalating appropriately.
• Reinforce correct equipment usage, setup, and studio safety practices.
• Participate in Lead Instructor calls, training updates and educational sessions.
• Facilitate mini internal workshops for teachers as needed.
• Work closely with Studio Manager to support class and teacher quality outcomes.
• Provide input on teacher availability and class coverage as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and studio initiatives.
• Support the studio during high-volume periods through professional leadership and presence.

This is a senior teaching position at the heart of the studiofloor. You will model instructional excellence, inspire your fellowteachers, and be the standard-bearer for the Club Pilates method,all while continuing to do what you love. Reporting to the StudioManager and Area Manager, you will play a key role in shaping thequality of every class, every member interaction, and everyinstructor's professional growth.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

Qualifications

• Comprehensive Pilates Certification or equivalent(Required)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Class Instruction & Member Experience

• Support teachers in delivering high-quality Club Pilatesclasses across all approved formats, modelling best-practicecueing, sequencing, and class flow

• Relay timetable schedule gaps or opportunities to theStudio Manager when identified
