Job summary

Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is seeking a Cloud & Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT team in Melbourne. This full-time role supports a modern hybrid environment spanning AWS, Azure, Hyper-V and on-premises infrastructure.

You will be responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, patching, backup management, incident resolution, and driving improvements across security and reliability while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in a full-time, ongoing position. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing a modern hybrid technology environment that spans AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure.Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Team Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimisation of critical cloud and infrastructure platforms that enable the organisation to deliver essential services. You will contribute to system reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, resource provisioning, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.The role also provides broad exposure across a diverse technology landscape, including Hyper-V virtualisation, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Teams, offering opportunities to further develop your technical expertise while working with contemporary cloud and enterprise technologies.This position is ideal for an infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to the evolution of a secure, resilient, and high-performing IT environment.
