Job summary

AWS Customer Incident Response is seeking an experienced security engineer to scale incident response for customers and partners. You will become a deep technical resource, build threat detection capabilities, and automate security operations on AWS.

Collaborate with service teams, mentor consultants, and contribute to new engagement models while delivering scalable security solutions for customers globally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review experience.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or 2+ years IT security experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, log analysis, and task automation via CLI.
• Experience across security domains: incident response, cloud security, threat modelling, or secure software development.
• Knowledge of general AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations.
• Build and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Automate security operations on AWS and contribute to consulting engagements.
• Create reference architectures, automation tools, and white papers for customers.
• On-call required.
