Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Security team seeks a Security Engineer for the Customer Incident Response Team (CIRT). You will lead incident response activities, build scalable threat detection, and automate security operations across AWS services to help customers secure their workloads at cloud scale.

You will collaborate with service teams, develop reference architectures and engage with customers to translate insights into actionable security solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT security experience.
• Experience troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, or automating tasks via command line tools.
• Experience in security domains like incident response, cloud security, threat modeling, or secure software development.
• Knowledge of general AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations.
• Be a deep technical resource trusted by customer stakeholders during security events.
• Contribute to teams building threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Design, build, and deploy automation for security operations and incident response on AWS.
• Mentor consultants, partners, and customers to raise security capabilities.
