Placements24 is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to bolster security across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for Australian operations. You will design, implement, and manage controls protecting data and systems while collaborating with IT operations and development teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or computer science and 3+ years in cloud security, with hands-on expertise and a DevSecOps mindset. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or related security role.
• Hands-on experience with security configurations and best practices for major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and encryption.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to enhance their security posture across their cloud infrastructure in Queenstown . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security controls to protect sensitive data and systems from evolving threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles, threat detection, incident response, and compliance frameworks. You will work collaboratively with IT operations and development teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the cloud lifecycle, contributing to a secure and resilient digital environment.
