Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Architect to lead the technical planning, design and development of complex security architectures and end-to-end alignment for the Cyber Security Program. You will drive cloud, network and application security, collaborate with DevOps and risk teams, and oversee enterprise security standards to ensure robust protection.

Qualifications

• Experience designing cyber security architectures for cloud, network, endpoint and application layers.
• Understanding of frameworks: SABSA, ISO 27001, ICS ACSC mitigations.
• Ability to influence and communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of cyber security solutions across cloud, network, endpoint and application layers.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms to improve security capabilities.
• Define security architecture principles and reference models.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering and Risk teams to embed security controls.
• Conduct threat modelling, security assessments and architecture reviews.
• Oversee and lead enterprise security standards and procedures.
