Job summary

Eftsure, an Australian fintech, is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to build and optimise the cloud infrastructure powering our platform. You’ll collaborate with Development teams to improve security, reliability and scalability while shaping automation initiatives.

You’ll manage AWS-based infrastructure, implement deployment automation, monitor with Grafana, and support containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Platform/Infrastructure Engineering or similar.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (deploying, managing, optimising).
• Experience with scripting, automation and DevOps practices.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Networking fundamentals including load balancing and security.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Grafana).
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• A focus on infrastructure security, reliability and scalability.
• Excellent problem solving and ownership of technical challenges.
• A collaborative mindset and ability to communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage, maintain and optimise AWS cloud environment for reliability and scalability.
• Automation & DevOps: Build automation tools and streamline deployment processes.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and monitor vulnerabilities.
• Reliability & Performance: Design and maintain highly available systems and reduce downtime.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use Grafana and other tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Containerisation: Support and manage containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaboration: Work with Development teams to align infra solutions with business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Explore new tech and optimise infra costs and performance.
