Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a Principal Cloud & Enterprise Architecture Lead to drive secure, scalable, cloud-first technology across a complex environment. You will provide technical leadership across cloud platforms, enterprise integration, IAM, security architecture, DevSecOps, data services, and architecture governance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years ICT experience with architecture leadership.
• Proven delivery of enterprise and cloud architectures in regulated environments.
• Strong artefacts and governance documentation.
• Azure and AWS cloud expertise.
• Experience with cloud migration and hybrid-cloud environments.
• API-first integration and event-driven architectures.
• Zero Trust and IAM/security controls.
• DevSecOps and IaC with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of enterprise, solution, and cloud architectures.
• Produce and govern high-level and detailed designs and reference architectures.
• Define future-state roadmaps and governance standards.
• Design secure Azure and AWS cloud solutions and migrations.
• Embed secure-by-design and Zero Trust across solutions.
• Oversee API-first integration and event-driven platforms.
• Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automated governance.
• Engage with executives and delivery teams to guide decisions.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams.
