Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for our IT Operations team in Archerfield. You will support design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of our hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud platforms, working with the Cloud Team Lead to modernise platforms and expand cloud capabilities.

You will implement backup/DR, automate with PowerShell, and provide Level 3 support while collaborating across business units to deliver secure, scalable technology

Qualifications

• Tertiary IT/CS degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft/Azure certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• 5–7 years in infrastructure or systems/cloud engineering roles.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPlatform.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with backup, storage and disaster recovery technologies.

Responsabilités

• Support availability, performance and administration of infrastructure across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Maintain and operate Microsoft 365 and Power Platform services.
• Manage hybrid infrastructure including compute, storage, backup, networking and identity.
• Identify risks and implement strategies to improve resilience, reliability and security.
• Contribute to cloud transformation and platform migrations and service improvements.
• Design, implement and support Azure and enterprise environments.
• Implement backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes per RPO/RTO.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and other tools.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues and provide Level 3 guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions aligned to priorities.
