Job summary

Housing Australia, the Australian Government’s independent housing delivery agency, seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to maintain and evolve its cloud and on‑premise environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You will ensure reliability, security, scalability and performance of critical platforms while driving automation, governance and cost optimisation across hybrid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• IaC with Terraform, Bicep and PowerShell for automation.
• Security, backup, disaster recovery and compliance in regulated environments.
• Monitoring and incident management using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Sentinel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure for high availability and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code and automation for provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement security, backup, disaster recovery and compliance controls per standards.
• Monitor infrastructure health, resolve incidents and drive service improvements.
• Provide guidance on cloud architecture and modernisation including AI‑enabled services.
