Job summary

Lime Recruitment is partnering with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Cloud Engineer in Fortitude Valley. You will join the Cloud Services delivery team, focusing on hands-on implementation to deliver complex cloud infrastructure across hybrid environments (70% Azure, 30% AWS) in a fast-paced health sector setting.

The role covers deployment, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting with PowerShell, Python, and C#.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on cloud deployment across Azure and AWS
• IaC and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• PowerShell, Python, C# scripting
• Entra ID/Azure AD and AWS IAM knowledge
• Terraform and App Services/Data Factory experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on deployment and support of enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.
• Deploy cloud components using Azure DevOps, YAML CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure Bicep, and AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Manage and support cloud networking environments (VNET, VPC, ExpressRoute, DirectConnect, VPNs) and cloud security/identity features.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions under tight timelines.
• Proactively learn and implement new cloud technologies and security policies.

In this role, you will join the Cloud Services delivery team, focusing on hands‑on implementation activities to deliver complex cloud infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments (70% Microsoft Azure, 30% AWS) within a fast‑paced enterprise health setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute hands‑on deployment and support of enterprise cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.
• Deploy cloud components using Azure DevOps, YAML CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure Bicep, and AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Manage and support cloud networking environments (VNET, VPC, ExpressRoute, DirectConnect, VPNs) and cloud security/identity features.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver solutions against tight timelines and shifting priorities.
• Proactively self‑learn, adapt to, and implement new technologies and security policies introduced to the cloud environment.

About You

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across Azure and AWS.
• Solid background in Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps—not an application developer, but an infrastructure specialist.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, C#) along with deep knowledge of cloud identity (Entra ID/Azure AD, AWS IAM) and monitoring tools.
• Proven ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Desirable: Experience with Azure App Services, APIM, Functions, Data Factory, Blob Storage, AWS S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Terraform, and enterprise health environments.
