Job summary

Whizdom is seeking a Context Engineer for a 6-month contract in Sydney. You will design, build and support enterprise cloud data solutions spanning Azure, AWS or GCP, delivering batch and near real-time pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments.

This hands-on role requires strong SQL, data modelling and governance skills, plus experience with Snowflake, Python, Spark and Databricks. You’ll mentor teammates and collaborate with stakeholders on a major banking transformation program.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, Solution Design or Data Warehousing.
• Advanced SQL and data transformation expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, Spark, Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Experience across Azure, AWS and/or GCP environments.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, governance and data quality.
• Experience with enterprise databases and cloud data platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

We're partnering with a leading consulting organisation to engage an experienced Context Engineer for a major banking program. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a strong data engineering professional who enjoys building scalable cloud data solutions and working on complex enterprise platforms.

About the Role

You’ll design, build and support enterprise data solutions across cloud and on‑premises environments, delivering batch and near real‑time pipelines, data integration, modelling, governance and performance optimisation.
