Job summary

SAS Australia is seeking a Cloud Technical Architect to translate client needs into implementable SAS solutions. Analyze information from the sales cycle, define work effort and cost estimates, and deliver demonstrations that highlight SAS capabilities and business value.

You will build trusted client relationships, support pre-sales activities on site, install SAS products for demonstrations, and collaborate with Systems Engineers to share knowledge.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• 5+ years of system engineering, project management, applications development, technical architecture and/or customer support.
• Strong facilitation and communications skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards, methodologies and SAS foundation technologies.
• Understanding of Cloud Architecture concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with sales strategies and cycles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.

Responsibilities

• Translate the sales technical vision into a detailed technical implementation proposal.
• Define work effort, support resource planning, and estimate costs for technical projects.
• Deliver software demonstrations and outline SAS features and business benefits.
• Build trusted relationships with account teams and clients to set expectations.
• Provide delivery of project results as an expert in SAS methodologies.
• Support sales opportunities across solution domains.
• Perform prototyping for SAS foundation technologies as needed.
• Install SAS solutions for demonstrations and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct pre-sales implementations to prove capabilities on-site.
