Job summary

SAS Australia is seeking a Cloud Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of SAS Cloud data management, security, and integration for customers in Australia. You will work with customers to shape regional practices and drive adoption of SAS technologies.

You will collaborate with pre-sales and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and ensure high client satisfaction across engagements.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this role.
• 5+ years of system engineering, project management, applications development, technical architecture and design and/or customer support.
• Strong facilitation and communications skills
• Must have good knowledge of industry standards, methodologies and SAS foundation technologies, architecture and resources
• Should have clear understanding of Cloud Architecture concepts and best practices.
• Must understand sales strategies and cycles
• Good problem-solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information gathered during the sales cycle and translate vision into a technical implementation proposal.
• Scope work effort, plan resources, and estimate cost on technical aspects of the project.
• Deliver software demonstrations and presentations highlighting technical features and business benefits.
• Build trusted relationships with the Account Executive and client to set expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Provide delivery of targeted project results using SAS methodologies and technologies.
• Leverage technical knowledge to support sales opportunities and implementations across domains.
• Perform advanced prototyping for SAS foundation technologies as needed.
• Install SAS software solutions and required products for demonstrations.
• Conduct pre-sales implementations and on-site support as required.
• Assist in responses to RFIs/RFPs with thorough and compelling answers.
• Strategize with the sales team to provide technical leadership for opportunities.
