Job summary

OCU Group in Australia is seeking an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join our Hamilton team. You’ll be the senior technical expert for IT across ANZ, reporting to the IT Manager and ensuring the cloud platforms run securely, reliably and at scale.

You’ll manage cloud environments (Dynamics 365, Autodesk Forma, Freshservice, Workato), lead M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, own Intune/Autopilot, supervise hybrid identity and security, and coordinate with our UK team.

Qualifications

• Senior, third-line or infrastructure engineering experience across Microsoft 365/Entra ID and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience managing devices through Intune and Autopilot.
• Solid understanding of hybrid identity and Conditional Access.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work independently as the go-to technical expert.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cloud environments for platform stack (Dynamics 365, Autodesk Forma, Freshservice, Workato).
• Lead M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations including mailboxes, data, devices and applications.
• Own the Intune and Autopilot platforms and set device baselines and compliance policy.
• Manage hybrid identity across Active Directory and Entra ID, including conditional access and privileged access.
• Ensure security and resilience with Defender, backups and recovery testing.
• Collaborate with UK team to share standards and supply specialist engineering through centrally hosted environments.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Hamilton.

You’ll be the senior technical expert for IT across ANZ, reporting to our IT Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and maintain the cloud environment that our new business platforms run on, including Dynamics 365, Autodesk Forma, Freshservice and Workato, covering identity, access, licensing and security.
• Lead Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations as we bring businesses into the Group, including mailboxes, data, devices and applications.
• Own the Intune and Autopilot platform, setting device baselines and compliance policy.
• Manage hybrid identity across Active Directory and Entra ID, including conditional access, privileged access and single sign-on.
• Keep the environment secure and resilient through Microsoft Defender, backup and regular recovery testing.
• Manage our network providers, holding them to service levels and shaping our approach to site and remote connectivity.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex issues, working with our UK team on shared standards and architecture.
• Partner with our UK team to deliver specialist engineering and design software through centrally hosted environments.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Hamilton office, with occasional travel to sites and offices across Australia and New Zealand.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Strong experience in a senior, third-line or infrastructure engineering role across Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience managing devices through Intune and Autopilot.
• A solid understanding of hybrid identity and Conditional Access.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work independently as the go-to technical expert.
• Microsoft 365 tenant migration experience, ideally with AvePoint.
