St Vincent's Hospital Sydney invites applications for a Clinical Trial Coordinator (Nurse) to coordinate high-quality, patient-centred oncology trials at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (Division 1).
• Tertiary qualifications in clinical research and trials or equivalent work experience are desirable.

Salary: $81,748.17 - $121,497.00 (dependent on qualification and experience) + super.

About the role

• The Clinical Research Coordinator/Registered Nurse (Clinical Research) is responsible for the coordination and delivery of high-quality, patient‑centred clinical trials within The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary research and clinical team, the role supports the safe and effective conduct of research in accordance with study protocols, ICH‑GCP, Australian regulatory requirements and privacy legislation.
• Key responsibilities include participant screening and recruitment, coordination of study visits and trial schedules, patient and staff education, clinical trial data collection and management, biological sample coordination, monitoring visits, and responding to data queries within required timelines.
• The role maintains effective communication with patients, families, healthcare professionals, sponsors and research partners, while contributing to quality improvement, research capacity and access to innovative therapies.

For the Registered Nurse (Clinical Research): the role additionally provides evidence‑based nursing care to clinical trial participants, including clinical assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, clinical decision‑making, care coordination, referrals and appropriate delegation within scope of practice.

About you

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency OR
• Holds or working towards relevant tertiary qualifications in clinical research and clinical trials or equivalent relevant work experience OR a combination of relevant work experience and study.
• Demonstrated leadership ability working in a team and ability to use own initiative
• Experience with secure data management, participant trial data collection, participant organisational skills, ability to rapidly master new concepts and skills and detailed knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions
• Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in clinical trials that includes the integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, data analysis and research principles including Good Clinical Practice.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in Oncology, Haematology and/or Research using effective communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
