Job summary

Queensland Government through Gladstone Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver advanced nursing care, lead nursing teams, and drive quality improvement in a busy Emergency Department. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating care for complex cases.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with standards and contributing to education and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with NMBA registration via AHPRA.
  • Ideally hold, or be committed to completing, a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Strong clinical leadership, mentorship, and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced nursing care for a designated patient population with complex needs.
  • Practise autonomously and provide clinical leadership to nursing staff.
  • Lead ward or unit activities and contribute to service improvements and audits.
