Job summary
Hunter New England Local Health District in Moree is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to lead hospital-wide nursing education and orientation programs. The role aims to support junior staff, oversee clinical education and supervision, and contribute to ongoing professional development within the district.
The ideal candidate will be a current AHPRA-registered nurse with post-registration education qualifications and extensive clinical experience.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA plus relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications and clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver competent nursing education in a hospital-wide capacity.
- Contribute to the development of colleagues and identify learning needs
- Support less experienced staff and acts as preceptor for new staff (when delegated this function)
- Support the orientation of new staff to the hospital
- Provide day to day clinical education support and clinical supervision at the point of care
- Provide 1:1 informal education
- Implement and evaluate education programs
